Benedict Burke is Chief Client Officer, Global Client Development for Crawford & Company.

Throughout his tenure at Crawford, he has held multiple roles, including Chief Executive Officer, UK & Ireland and head of Crawford Global Markets. He joined Crawford in April 2003 as Managing Director of its UK General Insurance business having previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer, GAB Robins UK.

Benedict is well-known throughout and substantially involved in the insurance industry.

He is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters. He served as an advisory board member of the UK Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) Claims Faculty for eight years and was a member of the task force leading to the pivotal declaration on professional standards (The Aldermanbury Declaration). He was elected President of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters in 2015 and has served as Chair of its Professional Conduct Committee.

Benedict currently serves as a founding board member of IUAD (Insurance United Against Dementia, UK). Additionally, in 2017, he was awarded ‘Insurance Personality of the Year’ at the prestigious British Insurance Awards.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Politics and the History of Industrial Relations from the University of Salford.
