As chief marketing officer, Michelle Montgomery is responsible for the development of global marketing, corporate communications and social responsibility strategy to expand awareness of Crawford’s brand drive demand and loyalty for its services and improve its overall competitive positioning. Leveraging Crawford's differentiation and scope of business across the claim’s ecosystem, she leads a global, cross-functional team responsible for telling the Crawford story to its clients, employees and shareholders across all media and touchpoints. Additionally, as a member of the executive leadership team, she works alongside other company leaders to develop and drive comprehensive programs in support of the purpose, values and strategic priorities of Crawford.
Montgomery joined Crawford in 2018 and has transformed the global marketing and communications team from a task-driven group into a strategic function within the company, unleashing the team's talent and potential.
Prior to Crawford, Montgomery was vice president, marketing communications, for Serta-Simmons Bedding, overseeing the Beautyrest brand. In her role, Montgomery was accountable for strategic brand direction and national marketing across all media platforms. Under her leadership, the Beautyrest brand doubled consumer awareness and achieved the No. 2 market share position for the first time in ten years.
Montgomery has built a long and successful career leading marketing and communications for B2B and B2C brands in a range of industries. Prior to her corporate career, she worked for a variety of marketing agencies with companies such as AT&T/Bellsouth, Mizuno, Eaton Corporation, U.S. Library of Congress, CNN, Russell Athletic, Mohawk Industries and many others.
Montgomery earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major in communications and government from The American University in Washington, D.C. She lives with her husband in Atlanta, GA and is the proud mother of two daughters.
